Learn more about Domain Name and Web Hosting

A Domain Name is the address or the URL of your website. This is what your website visitors type in the browser address to be able to access your website.

A Web Hosting is the location where your website is being hosted. This is where you are going to build your website. All the web pages, images and files are stored in the Web Hosting.

How does Domain Name and Web Hosting work together?

A Domain Name and Web Hosting are two important things you need to be able to build a website. Let’s simply put it into an illustration of a house.

  • Website – this is your House.
  • Domain Name – this is the address that you share with your guests (website visitors) so they can visit your house (website).
  • Web Hosting – this is the lot where your house (website) is built and everything on it is located.

How do I choose a Domain name and Web Hosting provider?

When choosing a domain name, it is best to include the right keywords that are applicable for your business. If you are a freelancer, you can also go with your name as your domain name.

When it comes to choosing a Web Hosting provider, some of the things that you may need to consider are: affordability, capacity to host unlimited sites and storage, free backups and restoration, free website migration, free SSL, and 24/7 customer support. There are a lot of domain and web hosting providers and each of them has their own pros and cons. So here’s our recommended domain name and web hosting providers:
