1. Chatbot Marketing Deep Dive

In order to get started with Chatbot Marketing, you must implement the Marketing, Sales, and Operation Framework.

The Marketing, Sales, and Operations Framework

Your minimum viable chatbot needs to have these 3 dimensions.  After that, you can continually expand and grow your chatbot.

Practical Examples:

Marketing

  • Lead Generation
  • List Building
  • Evergreen Engagement
  • Segmentation
  • Product Launches
  • Product Re-Launches

Sales

  • Purchases
  • Booking Appointments
  • Booking Calls
  • Bot to Sales Rep Hand-off
  • Purchase, Subscription Renewal, and Refund Feedback

Operations

  • Automating Customer Support
  • Automating Repetitive Tasks
  • Human Resources
  • Data Collection or Transfer

2. Ways to Drive Traffic to Your Chatbot

What is Traffic?

Traffic refers to visitors to your online platform. This is a common way to measure an online business’ effectiveness at attracting an audience.

By driving traffic to your Chatbot, you can gain Messenger Subscribers

Someone becomes a subscriber to your Chatbot by simply sending a message to your Facebook page.

In capturing email subscribers, there’s only one way to drive traffic and that is by having an opt-in. On messenger, however, there are various ways you can drive traffic to your Bot.

You can capture subscribers by the following:

  • Facebook Comments
  • Facebook Post
  • Facebook Ad
  • Existing List of Page Contacts/ User Messages on your Page
  • Button
  • Plugin
  • Link
  • QR Code

3. Key Ways to Promote Messenger Chatbot

  • Embed Facebook Messenger On Your Website
  • Include in your email signature
  • Add a “Send Message” button on Facebook Page
  • Create a QR Code for your Facebook Messenger Chatbot to share offline
  • Share messenger link in other social media networks
  • Create a “Click-to-Messenger” Facebook Ad

4. Design your Marketing Strategy

What is a Strategy?

A general direction set for the company and its various components to achieve a desired state in the future. Strategy results from the detailed strategic planning process.

What are your business objectives in using a chatbot?

For Example:

  • 100 customer service inquiries
  • 10 new service inquiries
  • 30 conversations
  • 5 booked appointments

You can achieve your business objectives by having a good Strategy.

Create a Minimum Chatbot Blueprint

An example of a blueprint for chatbot strategy

Portfolio

Instructions:

  1. Imagine you are a business owner, marketing director, or freelancer in charge of marketing, pick 3 strategies that would likely be going to adopt to drive traffic to your bot and why.
  2. Using your business or ideal client/niche, design your own chatbot strategy using any tool that you like. You can replicate the examples I used in this lesson but contextualized it to your business.

Just so there’s continuity of learning, it is important to stick to the minimum chatbot blueprint you’ll create. Use this blueprint when creating your portfolios in the next lessons. This will ensure you have a working chatbot on your page that you can show your potential clients when you have completed this course.
